Latin American engineering universities

Sao Paulo University has taken these recommendations to heart and is poised to become a leader in the transformation of engineering education to a more holistic model. And because the influence of Brazil is so great, there is no doubt that many other Latin American universities - the public Buenos Aires University of Argentina, the private Los Andes University of Colombia, and the private Catholic University of Chile - will likely follow Sao Paulo s more holistic engineering education investment for the future. 

College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE), the Peruvian Association of Clinical Engineering (APIC), the Argentine Committee Maintenance (CAM), the Chamber of Hospital Equipment Manufacturer in Argentina (CAEHFA), Latin American universities and medical equipment firms. 

Organized by the Group of Studies in Clinic Engineering (GEIC) of the National University of Entre Rios (UNER), this conference was held in Parand city, Entre Rios, from 20 to 22 August of 2008. A total of 206 professionals and students from 7 countries in Latin America attended this Conference. Within this framework, there were 37 oral and 20 poster presentations and 3 training Workshops, the latter with full attendance quota.
