Landscape preferences

For landscape and architectural work, a developer rendering maximum acutance is generally preferred. Portraits often require a softer look, with finer, more rounded grain. 

Any ecological risk assessment at the landscape level has to start with the question, What has to be protected This protection aim preferably needs to include a spatial component (e.g., protecting the aquatic biodiversity from pesticide stress in watercourses neighboring agricultural fields). It may also include a temporal component for example, consider only effects on the densities of aquatic populations to be acceptable in drainage ditches neighboring agricultural fields that show full recovery within a certain time period (e.g., 8 weeks) but do not allow these effects in main watercourses connected to these ditches (see Section 1.3.1 in Chapter 1 for a discussion on this topic). 

The surface waters incised the landscape, forming deep channels that were filled with new terrestrial and marine sediments as the seawater rose again. These deep paleochannels serve, according to the nature of the filling sediments, either as potentially preferred flow paths and preferred underground drainage systems or as hydraulic barriers. 

Portrait tables are always preferable to landscape tables. Remember that the volumes in a submission will be about 2 inches thick. It is cumbersome, annoying, and disruptive for an FDA reviewer to have to move the volume around repeatedly to coordinate the text presentation with the tabular data. If data appear not to fit in the portrait orientation, try changing the axes of the table, so that the axis with more individual descriptors is vertical, whereas the axis with fewer items is horizontal (column headings). Also consider revising the table into separate sections under the same column headers, with descriptive headings for each section spanning the width of the table. 

Firs grow best under cool, moist conditions they do not thrive in hot, dry climates. Set container-grown or balled and-burlapped plants into acid, moist but well-drained soil, preferably in spring. Full sun is best, but firs will grow well (with a somewhat more open habit) in partial shade. Fir trees are seldom bothered by insects or diseases in the landscape. Planting healthy trees in the right conditions will help the plants avoid most potential pest problems. 

Ashes are deciduous trees with opposite, compound leaves that turn yellow to purple in the fall. Male and female flowers may appear on the same or different trees all-male trees are preferred for landscaping since they don t produce undesirable seedlings. Ashes are used as street trees or specimens for large properties. 

Honey locusts are deciduous trees with alternate, fine-textured leaves. They cast dappled shade and, except for their thominess and messy pods, are excellent as specimen or street trees. Thornless, nonfruiting cultivars are preferable. Gleditsia triacanthos van inermis is thorniest honey locust, from which most cultivars hkve been selected for landscape use. 

Depending on the protein, the free energy landscape differs as is illustrated in Fig. 6. For some two-state proteins, with an independently stable secondary structure, the diffusion-collision mechanism is preferred. Other proteins,for which the secondary structure is less stable on its own, fold cooperatively using the nucleation-condensation pathway. In all cases there is still two state behavior, because there is only one rate limiting barrier.
