John Beddoes was on hand to welcome Marc Lalonde to Kanata, but by the time the first Therae 25 was delivered, RCC had a new chief executive. Beddoes left the company in September 1982, and Paul O Neill, executive vice-president and chief financial officer of AECL, assumed responsibility for RCC until a replacement could be found.
