Karnofsky index. The median follow-up period was 2 months (range, 2 days to 8.5 months). 

We repeated the therapy courses in cases where there was a reasonable relationship between therapy tolerance and success, i.e. reduced or at least stable tumour volume. Repetition intervals were planned 2, 5, 8 and 12 months after the first injection and we cancelled or postponed in cases of poor performance status (Karnofsky index < 60%) or if there was occurrence of extrahepatic metastases.
