IS program

Assuming that the mass spectrometer has sufficient mass resolution, the computer can prepare accurate ma.ss data on the m/z values from an unknown substance. To prepare that data, the system must acquire the mass spectrum of a known reference substance for which accurate masses for its ions are already known, and the computer must have a stored table of these reference masses. The computer is programmed first to inspect the newly acquired data from the reference compound in comparison with its stored reference spectrum if all is well, the system then acquires data from the unknown substance. By comparison and interpolation techniques using the known reference... 

When an RVT is being used for the purpose of discharge, also no protective fuses are recommended to ensure a positive discharge. On a trip, the RVT is programmed to be connected automatically to the capacitor units to discharge them. 

In this case, the co-solvent dosage rate is programmed in order to control the transient level of supersaturation in an effort to improve on the product crystal size distribution from simply dumping in all the solvent at the start of the batch. An experimental crystallizer within which a programmed microcomputer determines the set point of a variable speed-dosing pump is shown in Figure 7.7. Controlled co-solvent dosing improves the product crystal size, with a consequent increase in the filterability of the product. These process concepts are developed further in Chapter 9. 

A computer is programmed to calculate Qx from the value of Q, at successive intervals of 10 seconds until a constant value is obtained for Qx, thus completing the determination.

The microprocessor is programmed to recognize length and width, but the question of the correct diameter of irregular particles has remained controversial. Since the reduced form of the model is programmed here, the parametric values cannot be easily changed. 

After this prerun, the voltage is programmed to periodically pulse a plug of analyte into the interface. This fraction is then drawn into the second capillary for further separation. In our current configuration, the separation window in the CSE dimension is roughly 200 s in duration, and roughly 200 pulses of 1 s duration are required for the contents of the CSE capillary to be transferred to the second dimension. A constant potential is applied across the second dimension capillary, typically 10,000-20,000 V. Under this constant voltage, any analyte present within the interface is driven into the second dimension capillary for separation. Detection is by laser-induced fluorescence in a postcolumn sheath-flow cuvette.

If IDL or pv-wave shall be used, the library functions DIST() and SHIFT() make the program run fast55. From the results with the isolable ylides 350, it can be concluded that the fate of less stable, non-isolated sulfonium ylides depends dramatically on their respective substituents 336,338). Thus, the outcome of these reactions is programmed at the ylide stage and not during interaction of a presumed metal carbene with the sulfur-containing substrate. 

Programming — The third controller is programmed to trigger both LC systems, the start of MS data acquisition, and the direction of the column selecting valve. 

A generic definition provides a family of specific definitions. For example, in C++, a template class SortedList could be defined in which everything common to the code for all linked lists is programmed in terms of the placeholder class Item. When the designer requires a SortedList, the compiler creates and compiles a copy of the template, with Item replaced by Phone.
