Ipecac alkaloids were extracted and analyzed by HPLC as previously reported [section 1.2]. Two flasks were used for each culture condition. The contents of isoquinoline alkaloids, protoemetine, cephaeline and emetine in the transformed roots, are shown in Fig. (54).
