Inverse electrochemical thin-layer

We have found similar results in our laboratories making impregnated papers with PPy and PAn for inverse thin layer chromatography. 7 0 method we used to prepare polyaniline-modified paper was to load filter paper strips with aniline, which was allowed to diffuse throughout the paper for about ten minutes. The strips were then immersed in FeClj that had been acidified with HCl. Chemical polymerization was allowed to proceed for about forty hours. The chemical structure of polyaniline prepared in this matter was presumed to be the same as the electrochemically polymerized polymer. However, the morphology of the polymer surface was that of the filter paper substrate. The polyaniline adheres well to the filter paper when it is dried, and no problems with chemical instability were observed. [Pg.216]
