Internships traditional

After earning a bachelor s degree in one of the above-mentioned areas, an internship would be ideal. After an internship, one s career path can be extremely varied. In the research sector, for example, working on catalysts for batteries and fuel cells in a chemical company could include developing new materials that involve inexpensive, nontoxic, durable noble metals that are at least as efficient as traditional catalysts. This is only one example of many potential careers in the global electric vehicle market. 

The qualitative PR-analysis of file four case studies (two traditional and two interdisciplinary IT study programmes) shows fliat the main similarities of all case studies are related to a practical orientation which is mentioned in the descriptions of all study programmes. Practical orientation seems to be a main argument in promoting IT study programmes, however no curriculum includes internships e.g. in companies. Same is true for the international focus referred to in the descriptions of all four study programmes No curriculum includes stays abroad. Only in the promotional material of one interdisciplinary study programme ( Business Informatics in Linz)... 

Tracy was on a traditional engineering education path as she started her summer internship at the end of her junior year.
