Interferences with Urinary Glucose and Enzymes—Endogenous Inhibitors

2 Interferences with Urinary Glucose and Enzymes—Endogenous Inhibitors [Pg.284]

Some urinary enzymes are inhibited by low molecular weight endogenous molecules in the urine, and these inhibitors require removal by gel filtration, dialysis, or ultrafiltration prior to analysis (Amador, Zimmerman, and Wacker 1963 Werner, Maruhn, and Atoba 1969 Raab 1972 Werner and Gabrielson 1977 Berscheid et al. 1983 Kumar et al. 1987). The inhibitory effects on some of these enzymes are less than in the original methods due to lower sample volumes in proportion to the total reaction volumes and improved methods. [Pg.284]
