Intensity multiplicity

Singh et al [54] used a 13C NMR spectrometric method and reported the chemical shifts of primaquine and chloroquine. The signals are assigned on the basis of substituent effects on benzene shifts, intensities, multiplicities in single-frequency off-resonance decoupled and the comparison with structurally related compounds. 

As is well known, the usefulness of NMR in chemistry in general, and in heterogeneous catalysis in particular, rests on the fact that the chemical shifts, intensities, multiplicities, and widths of the magnetic resonance lines of nuclei depend in a sensitive manner on the chemical environment of the nuclei. The precise value of B, the magnetic field which the nucleus experiences, seldom, if ever, equals the applied magnetic field (B = B0 + B,oc where the two terms on... 

With optically dense dispersions such as occur in plate columns, the transmission method may fail because of intense multiple scattering. It is important to note that, to increase signal intensity, multiple lanthanide labeling of even small molecules is possible because lanthanide luminescence, in contrast to organic dye fluorescence, [15] does not undergo cmicentratimi quenching. Develop the film and vaiy the timing of the second exposure according to the signal intensity. Multiple exposures may be taken at a variety of time points (2 sec-1 h) to obtain the optimiun signal, as the ECL signal persists for over 1 h.

Multiple hole creation may result from direct excitation or from Auger and Coster-Kronig processes (see [2]).
