Inspection and testing of incoming constituent materials

4 INSPECTION AND TESTING OF INCOMING CONSTITUENT MATERIALS AND DELIVERED PRODUCT [Pg.431]

Part of the FPC system requirements specified by CEN EN 13108-21 (2008) is inspection and testing on incoming constituent materials and on finished bituminous mixture (delivered product). As constituent materials, the following are distinguished aggregates, filler, binders, additives and reclaimed asphalt. [Pg.431]

The aim of the inspection and testing of the above is to ensure product quality and compatibility with the predetermined requirements. [Pg.431]

The constituent materials, such as aggregates, filler, binders, additives and reclaimed asphalt, should be inspected and tested on a regular basis. [Pg.431]

The inspection/test frequency and the types of tests per incoming constituent material are all covered in CEN EN 13108-21 (2008). Table 9.2 gives an example of minimum inspection/test and the frequency recommended for aggregate and binder. [Pg.431]
