Inorganic compounds 3-diketonates

Intramolecular rearrangements of / -diketone complexes, which are degenerate in the sense that compositional integrity is maintained, have received considerable attention in the literature. Rearrangements of materials containing an M06 coordination core are particularly important as they involve fundamental questions about reaction mechanisms of inorganic compounds. [Pg.381]

There is much current interest in volatile compounds of some of the metallic elements which may be useful for CVD of thin films of electronic or structural materials.1 Among the presently utilized precursors for metal oxide-containing films, the /i-diketonate family has been employed by numerous researchers.2 A previous volume of Inorganic Synthesis described the general... [Pg.302]

Dicarbonyl compounds have been of considerable interest to inorganic, organic and physical chemists. /3-Diketonates (especially the acetylacetonato anion) have been appreciated by inorganic chemists as useful chelating ligands. Organic chemists have used them... [Pg.497]

Different research groups have shown that this class of compound can be efficiently synthesized, with high yields and short reaction times, by using MW irradiation [31]. For example, Loupy et al. [31a] obtained unsymmetrical DHPs (1 and 2, Scheme 17.4) by reaction (in a one-pot procedure) of an aldehyde, a 1,3 diketone (or a yS-ketoester), and methyl j8-aminocrotonate. By using a solid inorganic support under solvent-free conditions in a domestic MW oven the desired products... [Pg.793]

Nomenclature. The nomenclature of the metallic derivatives of the 1,3-diketones in the literatme has not been definitive. These compounds have usually been called acetylacetonates or derivatives of acetylacetonates, e.g., zirconium acetylacetonate, beryllium benzoylacetonate, and lanthamun trifluoroacetylacetonate. A better nomenclature is based on the extensions of the International Union of Chemistry (I.U.C.) rules for inorganic nomenclature to include all types of coordination compounds. Thus, the foregoing names become tetrakis(2,4-pentane-diono) zirconium, bis(l-phenyl-l,3-butanediono)-beryl-lium, and tris(l,l,l-trifluoro-2,4-pentanediono)lanthanum. Further examples are... [Pg.16]

In this part, the synthesis of some polycyclic aromatic nitrogen heterocyclic compounds through a convenient and economical method is reported by the use of MSA (Scheme 3.21) (Karami et al., 2011). MSA, as an inorganic solid acid, has been proved to be an efficient and heterogeneous catalyst for rapid synthesis of quinoxaline and phenazine derivatives from the condensation of o-phenylenediamines and 1,2-diketones in ethanol as solvent at room temperature in excellent yields (Scheme 3.21) (Karami et al., 2011). [Pg.80]
