Innovation continued indicators

Given the abundance of water-insoluble or poorly water-soluble drugs as well as drugs exhibiting other development challenges such as metabolic and enzymatic instability, the pharmaceutical industry continues to seek solutions to overcome these limitations to develop innovative, clinically safe, and patient-friendly products. As said earlier, MR delivery products offer tremendous advantages with respect to therapeutic indices, pharmacoeconomics, and patient compliance. In addition,... [Pg.631]

TRXRD represents an important recent innovation in the experimental study of bulk lipid phase transition kinetics. The method provides direct structural information continuously throughout the course of the transition and offers useful insights into the transition mechanism. Although several successful experiments have been performed, the full potential of the method has yet to be realized. As indicated above, many of the limitations are of a technical nature. Next, I address some of the factors which, in my opinion, warrant attention if these limitations are to be removed and the potential of the TRXRD method fully exploited. [Pg.96]

As already indicated above, to satisfy the different market and consumer demands, safeguarding or improving reputation and image without increasing costs too much, while remaining sustainable, FSCs need to continuously innovate their products, processes, and organisation. This will hardly be possible without collaboration between relevant stakeholders and taking into account specific properties of the food supply chain. [Pg.38]

This chapter sets out key concepts in the discipline of public health informatics. It illustrates these concepts variously—through a multilevel account of public health informatics activities in Australia with a selection of current international case studies and by indicating emerging directions in the field. The chapter begins by introducing the essential role that information and communication have played in public health past and present. It ends by asserting that collaborations between public health and health informatics can continue to produce innovation and demonstrate value, so long as there is interest and investment in the health of humans at the population level. [Pg.294]
