The Mix Mold is an inj ection molding test. A premix is made using a shaker or an Osterizer. The premix is used to charge the molding machine and display chips are molded. 

Acrylonitrile Copolymer A thermoplastic prepared by copolymerization of acrylonitrile with small amounts of other unsaturated monomers. Has good gas barrier properties and chemical resistance. Processed by extrusion, inj ection molding, and thermo forming. Used in food packaging. 

Nylon 66 Thermoplastic polymer of adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine. Has good tensile strength, elasticity, toughness, heat resistance, abrasion resistance, and solvent resistance, but low weaflierability and color resistance. Processed by inj ection molding and extrusion. Used in fibers, bearings, gears, rollers, and wire jackets.

Inj ection Molding - A molding procedure in whieh a heat-softened plastic material is forced fi om a cylinder into a eavity which gives the artiele the desired shape. It is used for all thermoplasties and some thermosets. 

The process continues to be a challenging subject for academics, and every year at the Annual Technical Conference (ANTEC) of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) in the United States, the inj ection molding sessions are numerous and well-attended. As mentioned in Kennedy s thesis [20], the subject of geometry (Figure 4.53), material properties, mechanical properties, additives, and so on need further work in order to predict the ultimate morphology and end-use properties of the molded product.
