Information Governance IG Violation

HIT systems frequently contain data which is personal and sensitive. Culturally we have come to expect that our clinical data will be kept secure and only be divulged to those individuals with a stake in managing our well-being. Exposing this confidential data to those whose interests are financial gain or sheer curiosity is generally considered unacceptable and indeed unlawful. Information Governance represents the preservation of information confidentiality - i.e. the absence of unauthorised disclosure of information [1]. 

Debate in this area soon becomes a quagmire of morality, ethics and law which from a practical perspective of CRM is best avoided. What is important is that
