Induction charging

Types The primaiy cause of electrostatic charging is contact electrification, which takes place when two different materials are brought into contact and separated. Other causes include induction charging, the formation of sprays, and impingement of charged mist on an ungrounded conductor. 

Nonconductive plastic pipe should not be used for transfer of ignitable powder or for any powder transfer through electrically classified areas. Hazards comprise brush discharges, PBDs and external sparks due to induction. Charge accumulation is discussed in 5-3.2.1. 

Nissan s Hypermini concept EV is a two passenger EV (electric vehicle) that can go 60 miles per hour and travel about 75 miles on a single charge. It uses a neodynium magnet synchronous motor, with a maximum output of 20 kW at 15,000 rpm, lithium-ion batteries and an inductive charging system. Rear-wheel 2WD is used with front independent struts and rear independent parallel-link struts. The brakes are ventilated discs with an anti-lock system.
