Immune globulin for IV use

Kawasaki disease Immune globulin (IV)2 400 mg/kg IV daily for 4 consecutive days within 4 days after the onset of illness. A single dose of 2 g/kg IV over 10 hours is also effective. Effective in the prevention of coronary aneurysms. For use in patients who meet strict criteria for Kawasaki disease. [Pg.1410]

Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) Immune globulin (IV)2 Consult the manufacturer s dosing recommendations for the specific product being used. Response in children with ITP is greater than in adults. Corticosteroids are the treatment of choice in adults, except for severe pregnancy-associated ITP. [Pg.1410]
