Hydroxy-, derivatives sulfur-containing, oxidation

The synthesis of a series of monocyclic hydroperoxy- and hydroxy-substituted sulfin- and sulfonamides by oxidation of 4,5-dimethylisothiazolium salts has been reported <02HCA183>. These hydroperoxy derivatives have been used as oxidising agents for organic compounds containing heteroatoms such as sulfur and phosphorous <02HCA183>.
