Hydrogen in metal hydrides

Pressure vessel transport by air for the time being is essentially impossible. Transporting very small amounts of hydrogen in metal hydride canisters has been approved by ICAO. 

The manufacturing process to store hydrogen in metal hydrides must be simple and inexpensive both from the cost and energy usage. 

Hydrogen in its compounds ordinarily has an oxidation number of +1. (The major exception is in metal hydrides such as NaH and CaH2, where hydrogen is present as the H ion and hence is assigned an oxidation number of — 1.)... 

In relation to the reducing agent, hydrogen gas, metal hydrides, and irradiation methods are the most investigated approaches used to produce metal NPs in ILs. 

It is also worth emphasizing that the initiation and termination steps are not included in the central chain process. For instance, in metal hydride-promoted domino reactions the initial halogen abstraction (or SePh displacement, etc.) and the final hydrogen abstraction from R MH are not classified as part of the domino sequence. More precisely, only the propagation steps within the mechanism of this process will be considered as a strict integral part of the domino reaction.
