Hydrogen Bonds Au- -H-NM Interactions

Recent examples of intermolecular H- Au hydrogen bonds are collected in Table 5.2. The Au- -H distances range from approximately 2.7 to 3.18 A, the latter corresponding to the weak interaction present between the molecules of [AuCl PPh2C [Pg.314]

The degree of association through —H- -Au bonds can vary depending on the complex analyzed and, thus, we can find one-dimensional arrays, such as in the [Pg.315]

Some —H - -Au contacts have also been described in gold complexes with ferrocenyl derivatives as ligands, such as those included in Table 5.2 containing [Pg.316]

Supramolecular Cold Entities Built with Non-Metal-Non-Metal Secondary Bonds [Pg.320]

In this section I will comment on some examples of gold complexes that display supramolecular entities in the solid state, although in these cases the metal atom is not directly involved in the van der Waals interactions. As in the previous section, the electron density donor can be a non-metal different from hydrogen, which can be a halogen or a chalcogen a hydrogen atom of a covalent NM — H bond or a doud of n electron density. [Pg.320]
