Human unity

This notion of human unity is a very difficult concept for those of us who are embedded in Western culture. Much of the American story involves the rise of the individual, with a focus on individual rights and responsibilities, accumulation and protection of private assets, and personal growth and self-actualization. So when philosophers talk about unity, we have trouble even understanding what they mean, much less accepting it. 

Note There is really a fundamental underlying unity in energy, which is always conserved although it can be interconverted amongst its different forms. All types of energy conversion, except nuclear, are associated with biological as well as human machinery. 

The study of the genome supports the fundamental unity of human beings throughout the world. We all share at least 99.9% of the letters of code (nucleotide sequence) in our genome [1, 77]. And yet, it is remarkable that the extraordinary diversity of human beings at the genetic level is encoded by less than 0.1% variation in our DNA. A word of caution should be made with respect to estimating tenability for human exposures. Experimental LC values are determined using rat lethality as the bioassay. Judgement should be exercised for human tenability, with limits set considerably lower than FED summation at unity. An FED limit of, perhaps, 0.3 may be more appropriate for assessment of the potential escape of humans.

The heart is a true model of the potential planetary unity of the future humanity, an organic clot of cosmos, a mechanism of created and indestructible life, a concentration of human love and its boundless energy, the iconology of future culture. 

The Tower is an image of the Tree of Life, portrayed in the form of an edifice. This enables the practitioner to study and experience in detail the various interweaving influences that constitute a human being. In the present practice, the castle is being worked in the level of Atziluth, the Qabalistic world of Divine unity and of emanation. This may seem an odd statement to make at first, but there is good reason for it.

Different formulation principles, dosage forms, and DDSs are commonly evaluated in animal models, and attempts are made to predict human absorption on the basis of such studies.80 Human studies are also conducted in some cases to confirm predictions from animal models. Chiou et a 1.81,82 demonstrated that there is a highly significant correlation of absorption (r2 = 0.97) between humans and rats with a slope near unity. In comparison, the correlation of absorption between dog and human was poor (r2 = 0.512) as compared to that between rat and human (r2 = 0.97). Therefore, although dog has been commonly employed as an animal model for studying oral absorption in drug discovery and development, one may need to exercise caution in the interpretation of data obtained. 

Wfe have an amazing abundance of genomic data from viruses, bacteria, yeast, worms, plants, animals, and humans. Analysis of this data has convincingly confirmed the essential unity of all life on Earth. 

Finally, if we take a fruit fly and knock out one of its Hox genes and then replace it with the corresponding human Hox gene, we get a perfectly normal fruit fly. As Matt Ridley has phrased it Flies and people are just variations on a theme of how to build a body that was laid down in some worm-like creature in the Cambrian period. This is a remarkable example of the underlying unity of living organisms. 

Now we can hardly state dogmatically that the human being is a unity or is a plurality. But there are at least certain purposes for which it is convenient to regard him as a unity and not as a plurality.
