High-pressure equipment closures

The numerous possible high pressure applications and their associated requirements can be satisfied by a variety of different assemblies of reaction vessels, closures, tubing, valves, pumps or compressors. First, an overview of these different components is presented, after which several complete high-pressure systems found in the literature are discussed. At this point it should be emphasized that in showing equipment from one manufacturer or another, no preference for a particular product is being expressed. Further details on equipment employed for spectroscopy at high pressure are provided in Chapter 3. [Pg.68]

Case 1 High pressure at outlet of well High pressure mainly due to closure of the main S/D valve at the inlet to the main separator. The closure of this valve will result in all lines from the wells and the manifold to over pressuring. This will likely result in a flange rupture at the main manifold assembly leading to a fire and equipment damage PSHL-01 2 FLV-01 Closes None... [Pg.196]

The supercritical drying process is carried out batchwise (see Figure 8.22). The material to be dried is inserted into a high-pressure vessel equipped with a quickacting closure at the top. The samples are soaked in the organic solvent before the... [Pg.202]
