Die elektrochemische Oxidation von Anilin, 4-Nitro-, 2,4-Dinitro- und 2,4,6-Trichlor-anilin in waBrigen Losungen von Acetonitril bzw. Dimethylformamid fuhrt in 2,8 63% Ausbeute zu Azobenzol, 4,4 -Dinitro-, 2,2,4,4 -Tetranitro- bzw. 2,2,4,4, 6,6 -Hexachlor-azobenzol1. 

Die Reduktion von l,2,3,4,7,7-Hexachlor-5-endo-acetoxy-bicyclo[2.2.1]hepten mit Chrom(II)-acetat in Essigsaure fiihrt zum 1,2,3,4,7-syn- (78% d.Th.) und 1,2,3,4,7-anti-(18% d.Th.) Pentachlor-5-endo-acetoxy-bicycIo[2.2. / hepten4 ... 

Note Chloramines do not require exposure to chlorine gas before application o-toluidine. A range of halogen-containing substances (e.g. bromazine, hexachlor cyclohexane isomers) can be detected with o-toluidine (1 % in ethanol) after subseque irradiation with UV light (X = 254 or 366 nm 10-15 min) [1, 8].

The reaction is commercially important because one of the isomers is a potent insecticide. The product is marketed as a mixture of isomers in which the active isomer (-y) is optimally about 40% by weight. It has a variety of trade names Fortified, BHC, Lindane, Gammexane, Hexachlor.

Die Synthesen der mit organischen Resten substituierten Phosphazene gehen in der Regel von Hexachlor-cyclotriphosphazen bzw. Octachlor-cyclotetraphosphazen aus. Durch nucleophile Substitution konnen successive alle Chlor-Atome durch Alkoxy-, Aryloxy-, Al-kylthio-, Arylthio-, Alkylamino- und Arylamino-Gruppen ersetzt werden (s. Bd. XII/2, S. 98 Iff.). 

Der Austausch von Chlor gegen Amino-Gruppen in Hexachlor-cyclotriphosphazen ist durch zahlreiche Beispiele belegt (s. Bd. XII/2, S. 986). Zusatzlich zu diesem Verfahren werden Trichlor-tris-[dialkylamino]-cyclotriphosphazene durch Erhitzen von Phosphor-saure-dialkylamid-dichlorid-trimethylsilylimiden auf 170° erhalten285 ... 

Hexachlor-l,3,5,2A5,4A5,6A5-triazatriphosphorin setzt sich mit Brenzcatechin bzw. 2-Amino-phenolen in Gegenwart von Triethylamin ebenfalls zu hexakoordinierten Phos-phoranat-Komplexen um2 7 ...

Initiation with Tropylium Ion. When cycloheptatrienyl hexachlor-antimonate is used as initiator for tetrahydrofuran polymerization, the reactions are somewhat cleaner, and strong colors do not develop as readily as when the corresponding trityl salts are used (17). Rates of initiation are much lower, and the reaction is hardly noticeable at room temperature. However, at 50 °C. and above initiation is significant, and the polymerizations proceed almost to the expected theoretical conversion of monomer to polymer even when hexachlorantimonate is the anion (Table III). Therefore, the apparent low equilibrium conversion obtained with the rapidly initiating trityl salts is minimized in this case by the comparatively low rate of consumption of initiator. Once again GLC demonstrates clearly that the initiation reaction involves primarily hydride abstraction from the ether. 

Dieser Fall liegt etwa im 9.9-Dimethoxy-1.4-diaza-9 H-tribenzo-[a.c.ej-cyclohepten (1) vor, dessen 1H-NMR-Spektrum in Hexachlor-butadien/1.1,2.2-Tetrachlorathan (1 1) bei 33 °C zwei getrennte scharfe Singuletts fur die axialen (a) und aquatorialen (e)a> Methoxylgruppen bei Ta = 7,38 und re = 6,50 zeigt 15>.
