Commercial conductive overlays may be used to drain CRT screen static in nonhazardous locations. The ground connection on such overlays must be made secure to prevent shocks. 

There are two types of input power buses. DC power buses are single-wire power connections such as found in automobiles and aircraft. The ground connection forms the other leg of the power system. Pipelines on wharves that handle Class I or Class II liquids must be adequately bonded and grounded. Bonding between the wharf and the vessel is not allowed. TEs are those penetrating through a thin specimen that are focused into images on a phosphor luminescence screen or on a photosensitive material. Some of the PEs are absorbed by the specimen and are grounded as a current. If there is no ground connection, the specimen will charge up.
