GRIN/GRID program

A valuable characteristic of PDB format is that so much relevant information can be condensed into about 60 characters at the start of a line. The rest of the line can then be used by GRID for all the other data which are needed to specify the properties of an atom. The input program GRIN prepares all this data automatically, and writes it at the end of the line after the first 60 characters. [Pg.15]

Output from GRID can be prepared in formats suitable for display in molecular modeling packages or for analysis in statistical programs VAX, Evans Sutherland, and UNIX workstations. [Pg.432]
