The so-called turbulent "V-shaped flames" are the flames anchored behind a rod or a catalytic wire in a flow where turbulence is generated by an upstream grid. Trinite et al. [7,40] and Driscoll and Faeth [41] have studied such flames. The difference between stations E3 and Bl was due to the fact that the resuspension released nutrients at station E3 were from experiments at a constant solid-solution ratio, while those at station Bl were from the maximum release experiments at station Bl. The first major activity undertaken by the Marine Farm Project involved studies of Macrocystis transplants moored on artificial structures in oceanic environments. The largest of three such experiments consisted of a three-hectare structure designed and installed by the Naval Undersea Center off San Clemente Island, about 100 km from the mainland. Parallel planar geometries are used in some high-frequency triodes. Field untwisting of a helix for thin cells with planar boundary conditions occurs differently from the case of an infinite cholesteric medium. For a field perpendicular to the axis of a cholesteric helix in the planar texture, a stepwise change in the pitch with increase in the field is predicted [128]. For shear loading, ACI 318 Section D.6.2.9 indicates that anchor reinforcement should either be developed in accordance with ACI 318 Chapter 12 on both sides of the breakout surface, or should enclose the anchor and be developed beyond the breakout surface.
