Green stage

Kiwifruit. One hundred kg of kiwifruit (Hayward variety) were harvested at the mature green stage with the soluble solids at 8.0° Brix, and stored at 1°C under 90% relative humidity. The average weight per fruit was 81.6 g. The average pressure test (0.794 cm plunger) was 7.5 0.6 kgf. The total solids content was 16.5%. [Pg.306]

Application of coatings to FRP exposed top surfaces, i.e. those not in contact with a mould, may be required for similar reasons to using gel coats. These flow coats mainly differ in their method of application and consolidation. Flow coats should be applied if possible when the exposed surface is still at the green stage in order to obtain the highest adhesion if similar materials are being used to the main resin system. Adhesion to time-delayed exposed FRP surfaces can be low and considerable additional effort may be required in surface preparation to attain the required bond strengths. [Pg.309]

First, after their storages of the kiwifruits at 4°C, the total carotenoid contents increased aroimd 690 pg/lOO g edible flesh at mature green stage (To) to aroimd 830 pg/100 g edible flesh with around 120% rate of increase after 38 days of stage (T3). [Pg.50]

Third, on P-carotene (2), the content of around 257 pg/100 g edible flesh of P-carotene (2) at mature green stage (To), was around 37.2% when compared to the content of the total carotenoids. However, the content of around 4282 pg/100 g edible flesh of P-carotene (2) after 18 days at 20°C (T3) was around 91% when compared to the total carotenoids of around 4700 pg/100 g edible flesh after 27 days at 20°C (T3). [Pg.50]

On the other hand, the content of aroimd 342 pg/lOO g edible flesh of lutein (6) after 18 days at 4°C (T3) increased around 181% when compared to 189 pg/lOO g edible flesh of lutein (6) at mature green stage (To). Therefore, the temperature change of lutein (6) might not be influenced on the accumulation of lutein (6) (Table 10) [4],... [Pg.52]
