Graphene preparation methods

A study of graphenes prepared by different methods characterization, properties and solubilization j ... [Pg.604]

Graphene is a new class of low dimensional carbon materials. It represents the two-dimensional form of carbon. We have elaborated several methods of graphene preparation with making use of mechanical and ultrasonic segregation. Now we are under investigation of graphene modification by FIB. [Pg.466]

This section focuses on the electronic properties of other, novel carbon materials as relevant to their use in molecular electronics. The appropriate background regarding properties and preparation methods is discussed, while an interested reader may refer to Chapters 1-4 for more details on electrochemistry of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG), graphene, and CNTs. Here, we specifically consider electrodes made of confined sp2 carbon layers, and limit the discussion to graphene and CNTs as prominent examples. [Pg.350]

Intercalation of polymers in layered hosts, such as layered silicate and graphene nanoplatelets, has proven to be a successful method to prepare PLS nanocomposites the preparation methods are divided into three main groups according to the processing techniques and starting materials, which include solvent interaction process, in situ polymerization process, and melt interaction method (Sinha Ray and Okamoto 2003). [Pg.306]

Until now, the fabrication of defect-free high-quality graphene in large areas, which is critical for nanoelectronic devices, is still a big challenge. Surely, the establishment of controllable approaches for specific applications is the precondition toward real application. Various methods have been developed and more novel fabrication methods are still emerging. In this section, the most important preparation methods that have been used so far will be discussed in detail. [Pg.3]
