We all need goals that will inspire us and challenge oiu preconceived beliefs, lime being what it is, you may not be able to achieve aU of your goals this year or the next but I ll bet that what you do accomplish will be far greater than if you hadn t dared to dream at all. [Pg.43]

To help sow the seeds of your dream business (whether you re mid-way or just beginning), the next process is a list exercise to help you create goals or variations of goals you would never have thought about yet have much to do with your business. It s a bit more left-brained, but it shouldn t limit your passion and is designed to challenge and expand your current expectations. [Pg.44]

Make a wish list of your favourite office elements, the business contacts you d like to meet and collaborate with, the type of office staff you want to be surrounded by, favourite projects you would love to work on... Don t hold back. Just list them. [Pg.44]

Make another list of all the things you want to do with your business. Here are some ideas to get you started I want to play hard, leave a mark of my love, build a foundation, build multiple streams of income from this core business, make this a fun place to spend eight hours a day, travel on business, get awards, get recognized by my industry. [Pg.44]

If you feel the need, go ahead and make a list of the things you don t want in your business. The things you don t want may require you to make a lot of hard choices and, of course, will require time to weave them into the fabric of your business. Finding balance takes saying no to jobs or projects at times when your bank account says you must say yes. In my business, I personally like to be busy in large chunks of time and then take large chunks off time off— that s my balance. [Pg.44]
