Table 6.6 is provided as a final aid for protective glove selection decisions. Table 6.6 identifies the preferred glove types as well as those not recommended for use with pesticide formulations containing various carrier solvent types. The glove types identified as preferred are those that consistently provide the best permeation resistance to pesticide formulations and undiluted carrier solvents within each chemical classification identified. A statistical analysis—two-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA)—was performed on the collected data. The significant level was set at 0.05. The optimum levels of two test configurations evaluated were determined, as well as which glove type to use in the remainder of the study (Phases 1 and 2). 

In general, there is no need to specify a special glove type from a particular producer, but in some cases such a recommendation could be helpful. 

For one s own safety as well as that of one s colleagues the use of gloves must comply with several important rules. If these rules are broken, health risks may not be excluded even if very good glove types are worn.

The reasons for this are their shape, the electric field fitness, a favorable hydrophobic interaction, etc., resulting either in the key-lock , template or hand-glove types of interaction (cf. Chapter 13). A molecule may provide a set of potential contacts localized in space (called a synthon), which may fit to another synthon of another molecule.
