Glove batch process

Heavier weight gloves may be made by the continuous process in a similar manner to that described above, but they are more commonly produced by the batch process, outlined as follows.

Finishing and repairing is done with mixtures of cement and epoxy resins. The workers in the batch plant have contact with wet cement primarily on the hands, but the entire body can be exposed to cement when spills occur (Fig. 2). Most of the work processes are carried out in large workshops, and those workers who have daily contact with wet cement often use leather or rubber gloves.
