The Ml SiC/SiC system was chosen as the material for this effort based on the past work [I-4] as well as the vast data that exists on the material system [S]. This material system was developed out of the Enabling Propulsion Materials Program run out of NASA-Glenn Research Center. NASA-GRC is still evaluating this material as a candidate for advanced applications.
