Glass fiber reinforced PPS

The damage process is accompanied by numerous microvoids, the development of which has been utilized for waterproof and/or breathable films. Other interesting segments are fibers, glass-fiber reinforced PP, thermo-formable grades and piping systems.

To a lesser extent, the replacement of thermosets by PP-based compounds has also occurred in the area of thermoset polyester for large automotive parts such as grill opening panels however, the trend has not been so dominant as in the case of RIM. Grill opening panels, once made with thermoset polyester compounds, have switched to filled or glass fiber-reinforced PP. 

A transcrystalline layer possesses different mechanical properties, and, moreover, unlike PP in bulk, this layer is strongly anisotropic. This is expected to be extremely important for determining the mechanical properties and hydrolytic stability, especially in the case of glass fiber reinforced PP.
