GeR4 Compounds with R Alkenyl

The germanium tetraalkenyls listed in Table 12 have been prepared by the methods below. For the assignment of the NMR spectra, the atoms or groups cis to the Ge atom or Ge-contalning group are labeled n, e.g., H-2 for the c/s vinyl proton on C-2. [Pg.95]

Further information on compounds preceded by an asterisk is given at the end of the table. Explanations, abbreviations, and units on p. Xi. [Pg.96]

Ge(CH=CH2)4 (Table 12, No. 1) is also formed from Ge(C4Hg)4 and Si(CH=CH2)4 in the AICI3-catalyzed redistribution reaction at 100 to 120°C together with all other Ge(C4H9)n(CH=CH2)4 n compounds, from which it may be separated by gas chromatography and detected by plasma emission spectrometry [28]. [Pg.97]

The vibrational spectra (depicted in [22]) are listed in Table 13, p. 98. For overtones and combination bands in the IR spectrum of the liquid and for additional bands of a polycrystalline sample at -165°C, see [22]. [Pg.97]

Ge(CH=CH2)3Cl. Cleavage with substantial formation of CH2=CH2 was also observed in the treatment with P(C6H5)2Cl or Na2[PdCl4]-C2H50H. No redistribution occurred with Sn(CH3)4 [25]. [Pg.98]
