The results database stores all the pre-calculated results from the risk models. The web interface queries this database to generate the data to be displayed. The database contains aggregated data layers so that geospatially coarser datasets are queried where appropriate, depending on the zoom-level of the map. 

The starting point for the geospatial risk model is the discretization of the track into sections, but first a choice had to be made in terms of which size the sections should be.
