Genome combinatorial approach

Antibiotics are increasingly being sought (respectively, developed) by the application of genomics and combinatorial approaches. Tliis has been made possible by developing techniques to manipulate genes and gene clusters, and thus tlie metabolism of the important providers of antibiotics. 

New scientific approaches, e.g. combinatorial chemistry, high-throughput screening, in silico models, pharmaco-genomics and pharmaco-proteomics offered new possibilities.
