Genichi Taguchi

This is the second member of the Japanese group who had an excellent background of statistics and from 1950 onwards, developed his own methods and published several books [20,21], whilst other authors described the Taguchi methodology [22-25]. When Taguchi visited the U.S.A. in 1980, a number of American companies became involved in his methodology.
