Gemini surfactants commercial

Adsorption studies have been conducted with other gemini surfactants on CRA. Rouse et al. [8] studied the adsorption of DOWFAX 8390, a commercially available C16 surfactant and found the maximum adsorption of 4.3 mg/g while the maximum adsorption of the C16 MADS component was 1.8 mg/g. The commercial product contains approximately 35 weight percent active component which is approximately 80wt.% monoalkylated and 20 wt.% dialkylated. The increase in the dialkylated component in the commercial mixture is responsible for its greater maximum adsorption compared to the C16 MADS. [Pg.151]

The Gemini surfactants such as those commercialized by Sasol GmbH (Marl, Germany) have been found in the market. [Pg.452]

To date, few of the many novel gemini snrfactants developed have made their way ont of the laboratory and onto the store shelf. Two families of long-existing commercial products that may be thought of as ganini surfactants are diamine-based block copolymers such as BASF s Tetronic line and Air Products various alkyne-containing surfactants. Diamine block copolymers, used as... [Pg.572]
