Gastric acid secretion inhibitors regulating

EGF and TGF-a are peptide hormones that are potent stimuli for cell division in the gastric mucosa and also potent inhibitors of gastric acid secretion. The former action is undoubtedly due to a tyrosine kinase action, and the latter is due to extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs) 1 and 2 activation. [Pg.213]
