Gallium organometallic compounds

An alternative to gallium vapour is an organometallic compound of gallium. One preparation reacts trimethyl gallium (Ga (0113)3) with the highly volatile (although toxic) arsine (AsHs).

A thermographic material with only one heat-sensitive component is prepared by reaction of an organometallic compound such as phenylmercury(II) nitrate with a thiourea derivative.230 The product is ball milled and coated in a binder such as poly(vinyl acetate). Other organometallic compounds disclosed are those of bismuth, tin, gallium and germanium combined with a variety of sulfur-containing compounds such as thioamides and xanthates. 

Organometallic compounds can be incorporated into spun-on resist films either at the time of formation with even distribution or in a separate step after the resist has been applied to the substrate. ORGANOMETALLIC COMPOUNDS CONTAINING GALLIUM-GALLIUM BONDS... 

Organometallic compounds containing gallium rings were first reported in 1995 sodium metal reduction of (2,6-Mes2C6H3)GaCl2 resulted in a deeply red colored solution from which a red (almost black) crystalline compound was isolated (equation 10). These crystals were determined to be Na2 [(2,6-Mes2C6H3)Ga]3... 

Methyl, ethyl, propyl, and butyl halides are reduced at lead and tin cathodes to produce, respectively, the corresponding tetraalkyllead and tetraalkyltin compounds in excellent yield. Bismuth, gallium, indium, and thallium can be employed to prepare a variety of organometallic compounds. Feoktistov [2] and Hawley [4] have summarized many of these electrosyntheses. 

Aluminum alkyls, alkylaluminum halides, and alkylalu-minum hydrides strongly associate in solution and in the solid state.The association of trialkylaluminum compounds is in stark contrast to the monomeric nature of trialkylboron see Boron Organoboranei) and trialkylgallium see Gallium Organometallic Chemistrj compounds.
