Gallides

Only YbAgPb and La4Ni3Pb4 show peculiar structure types, which have first been observed for a plumbide. All other plumbides exhibit relatively simple structure types, which have been observed also for silicides, germanides, stannides, gallides, or indides. We expect that lead characteristic structures will form in the lead rich parts of the ternary systems, similar to the gallium and indium based phase diagrams. [Pg.99]

Borides and Gallides. Cr3NiBe and Cr2Ni3Be have been identified in the Cr— Ni— B system and shown to possess the V2B3- and VjBg-type structures, respectively. The ternary borides Cr3Re2B5, CrRe3B4 jj, and (Cr, Mo)3B2... [Pg.97]

The gallides YbCuGa, YbAgGa, and YbAuGa have repeatedly been reported (Adroja et al. 1997, 1990, Malik et al. 1987a,b), however, only with respect to their physical... [Pg.463]

For the gallides, according to Gladyshevsky et al. (1990) existence ranges have been observed for the Y-Fe-Ga, Pr-Fe-Ga, Pr-Cu-Ga, Nd-Fe-Ga, Sm-Fe-Ga, Sm-Cu-Ga, Tb-Fe-Ga, Dy-Fe-Ga, Dy-Co-Ga, Ho-J e-Ga, Ho-Cu-Ga, Er-Mn-Ga, Er-Fe-Ga, Tm-Fe-Ga and Yb-Fe-Ga systems. In some systems there exist compounds with a stoichiometry which is different from superstructure CeMn4Alg, but with a limited composition close to RTs sGa iS where R = Sm, Dy, Yb and Lu. Additionally, one should notice that gallides are formed also with Co, particularly, that with the special stoichiometry. [Pg.154]

Finally, it is noted that gallides also exist in the Dy-Co-Ga and Yb-Co-Ga systems (see Gladyshevsky et al. 1990), and that In compounds of the LnAgs Ing -type have been reported (Sysa 1991), although their properties have not been investigated. [Pg.206]
