Western Europe is the largest user of polyamide in the industrial sector accounting for 34% of total consumption in 2002. North America with 32% is the second largest market, followed by Japan with 16%. The share of China and other Pacific Rim countries has been growing and is set to grow further in future. 

Because of its high mechanical properties under tough service conditions, PA is used for the manufacture of machine components, such as bearing cages, pumps, pneumatic coimectors or cable chains. 

Polyamide is used to make a variety of fixation products, such as cable ties, fasteners, staples and drills. It is also used for manufacture of caster wheels for industrial equipment.
