Full width at half maximum peaks

Nearest peak maximum should be separated from analyte peak by at least one full width at half maximum peak height... [Pg.774]

The TestLab data should be analyzed for period, pulse full width at half maximum, peak power, and total energy release. To facilitate this analysis, the data will be transferred to the laboratory web page (your instructor can also transfer the files to a disk which you provide) in a form to be read into a spreadsheet, i.e. a. wks file. Each pulse will be denoted by the number of the pulse on that day and the date. Thus a file 3921.wks is the third pulse... [Pg.190]

Full Width at Half Maximum (peak halfwidth)... [Pg.742]

Energy analyzers cannot be discussed without discussion of energy resolution, which is defined in two ways. Absolute resolution is defined as AE, the full width at half-maximum (FWHM) of a chosen peak. Relative resolution is defined as the ratio R of AE to the kinetic energy E of the peak energy position (usually its centroid), that is, R = AE/E. Thus absolute resolution is independent of peak position, but relative resolution can be specified only by reference to a particular kinetic energy. [Pg.13]

FWHM full width at half maximum, width of a peak GC gas chromatography... [Pg.402]

The observed peak width AE (defined as the full width at half-maximum -FWHM) arises from several contributions, and may be expressed as ... [Pg.28]

Figure 8.14 shows HREELS and LEED measurements of CO adsorbed on Rh(l 11) (56]. The bottom spectrum is that of the empty surface and shows only the elastic peak, which has a full width at half maximum of about 2 meV, or 16 cm 1. In fact, such a spectrum provides a stringent test for the cleanliness of the surface, as any impurity, e.g. of adsorbed carbon or oxygen, would immediately result in a peak in the 300-600 cm-1 region of the HREELS spectrum. The LEED image shows the... [Pg.241]

In Figure 9.13c, the EL spectra of the red-light-emitting a-Si H TFT AM-PLED and PLED are shown. EL peak positions at 654 and 653 nm, and full-width-at-half-maximum (FWHM) of 101 and 105 nm were obtained, for the a-Si H TFT AM-PLED and PLED, respectively. From the obtained EL spectra, Commission Internationale de l Eclairage (CIE) color coordinates [31] were calculated for AM-PLED and PLEDs, as shown in the inset of Figure 9.13c, and were found to be (0.67, 0.33) and (0.67, 0.32), respectively. These very... [Pg.609]
