From Carbonimidoyl Dichlorides or Imidoyl Chlorides

Unsymmetric alkyl(perfluoroalkyl)carbodiimides 15 are obtained in the reaction of perfiu-oroazaalkenes 14 with primary amines.  

Reaction of pentafluorophenylcarbonimidoyl dichloride 16 with aniline hydrochloride affords N-pentafluorophenyl-N -phenylcarbodiimide 17.  

The reaction of 16 with n-butylamine or t-butylamine in acetonitrile at room temperature 

Aziridincarboximidoyl chlorides 20 isomerize to carbodiimides 21 at 40-60 °C, or at room temperature in the presence of an acid catalyst.
