An application of the above results can be found in the study of the hot sulfurous springs of the French Pyrenees which issue from massive granite ( 5, ]. As seen in Table I, H2S, S0 together with Na and dissolved carbonate are major components. Polysulfide species were not detected (S(n-1][Sn ] < 10 g.atS/Kg]. These sulfurous springs should be equivalent to a H2S-H2O system. [Pg.32]

Talc is mined and produced in large quantities in the United States (mostly in Montana, New York, Texas, and Vermont). Talc is also found in abundance in Canada, China, Japan, the Italian Alps, the French Pyrenees, Russia, Brazil, and South Korea. The supply of talc is rather large and is projected to meet the growth in demand. [Pg.223]
