The forestry sector is modeled explicitly in MiniCAM. As the extent of forested lands expands and contracts, the associated stocks of carbon change endogenously with implied fluxes. When carbon is valued, land use changes endogenously. Carbon stocks in forests tend to accumulate, other things being equal however, the model does not accumulate carbon in forests indefinitely.
