Spray dryers rubber chemicals, sulfonates, inorganic phosphates, ceramics, kaolin, coffee, detergents, pharmaceuticals, pigments, inks, lignosulfonate wood waste, melamine and urea formaldehyde resins, polyvinyl chloride, microspheres, skim milk, eggs, starch, yeast, silica gel, urea, salts... 

Amino Resins. Formaldehyde-modified amino resins (i.e., melamine, benzogua-namine, and urea resins) are the most important resins for the heat curing of hydroxyfunctional polyester resins. These resins are readily available with a low molecular mass (very good polyester compatibility, but less reactive) or in precondensed form (limited compatibility, but very reactive). In order to prevent premature reaction in the wet paint, the amino resins are blocked by etherification with, for example, methanol or butanol. Sulfonic acids (e.g., p-toluenesulfonic acid, dodecyl-benzenesulfonic acid) have proved suitable for accelerating the deblocking of amino resins during heat curing. These acids must also be used in blocked form (ammonium salts, thermolabile adducts).

Chemical admixtures They are generally water-soluble, added mainly to control setting and early hardening of fiesh concrete, and to reduce water requirements. Chemical admixtures include accelerators, normal water reducers, superplasticizers, and retarders. The accelerators may contain calcium chloride, alkali hydroxide, calcium formate, calcium nitrate, etc. Examples of retarders are Na, Ca, or NH4 salts of lignosulfonic acids, hydroxy carboxylicacids,orderivativesofcarbohydrates.Normal water reducers may contain salts of refined lignosulfonic acids, hydroxycarboxylic acids, hydroxylated polymers, etc. Superplasticizers may contain sulfonated melamine formaldehyde, sulfonated naphthalene formaldehyde, car-boxylated synthetic polymers, etc.
