Folding-house

A new folding-house was also developed by Top Glass SpA, Italy, as a portable emergency all composite system. 

The next day I still didn t feel well but I went back to work. My joints and body ached all over and my face and skin were blotchy. No one was allowed to go into the guest house. When I went into the laundry room I felt worse, but I didn t understand I was reacting to the laundry products. I also felt worse when I folded the laundry. I thought maybe I was coming down with a cold because it was winter and many people were sick. That night I went home and spent the evening in bed.

The misadventures of a California architect who built his house to resemble the projection in 3-D space of a 4-D hypercube. When the hypercube house folds, it looks like an ordinary cube from the outside because it rests in our space on its cubical face—just as a folded paper cube, sitting on a plane, would look to Flatlanders like a square. Eventually the hypercube house falls out of space altogether. 

The term folded oils refers to concentrated oils. This typically involves a distillation process however, alcohol washing can also be used. Alcohol washing is based on the insolubility of d-limonene in 60% to 70% ethanol. These processes predominately remove terpene compounds, although aldehydes (octanal) are also reduced. Oils that are more than 20-fold concentrated are called terpeneless oils and are more stable. Distillation is predominately used by flavor houses. Flavor houses purchase cold-pressed oil, which is concentrated and fractionated. These fractionated portions are sold for flavorings or flavor precursors.

Tapas have historically been folded for storage, a factor which accounts for a great deal of deformation and breakage of the fibers. In Fiji, the house rafters were the typical storage location for folded and tied bundles of tapa. Dirt embedded in these cloths may contain a greasy, sooty accumulation from cooking fires if they were collected before the turn of the century. Since cooking fires were moved out of house interiors under British missionary influence about that time, a sooty accumulation on a tapa from that area may provide a clue as to its age.
