Radial fit bolts are a special feature used in all types of turbomachinery. They are of increasing importance to users that are both reliability-minded and concerned about life-cycle costs. The radial fit coupling bolt was originally developed for coupling steam turbine shafts by Pilgrim International in Oldham, UK. It is equally useful to coupling other equipment, including, of course, hot gas expander shafts. [Pg.370]

Appears suddenly at or above rotor critical speed when critical is below one-half operating speed. Increasing speed increases vibration amplitude, blit whirl frequency remains constant. When speed IS decreased, vibration disappears below where it first appeared. Identification and quantification of natural dyes need high performance analytical techniques, appropriate for the analysis of materials of complicated matrices containing a small amount of coloured substances. This requirement perfectly fits coupling of modern separation modules (usually high performance liquid chromatography in reversed phase mode, RPLC, but also capillary electrophoresis, CE) with selective detection units (mainly mass spectrometer). [Pg.365]

Note Appropriate assembly and maintenance procedures must be used to assure that taper fit couplings have an interference fit. [Pg.44]

Appropriate assembly and maintenance procedures should be used to assire that taper fit couplings have an interference fit. Slip fits on cylindrical bores allow adjustment of the coupling axial position in the field without application of heat. [Pg.73]

The protons in the 1,2-thiazetidine T-oxide ring 22 appear as a pair of doublets as expected for fit-coupling in a four-membered ring, but significantly they are not coupled to the vicinal bridgehead protons of the norbornene component thereby confirming the fuco-fusion <1997SL167>. [Pg.719]

To further characterize the HyPy products the extracts were analyzed by comprehensive GCx GC-TOFMS. GCxGC analysis was performed using an Agilent 6890 GC with a Leco GC x GC modulator fitted coupled to a Pegasus IV TOF mass spectrometer (Leco). The GC injector was operated in split mode (10 1) with a column flow rate of 1.1 mL/min and held at 250 C. GC X GC separation utilized a nonpolar column and a polar colunm a BPX5 (30 m x 0.25 mm x 0.25 pm SGE) and a BPX50 (2 m x 0.1 mm x 0.1 pm SGE), respectively. The GC oven temperature was held for 2 min at 35°C and ramped to SOO C at a rate of 5 C/min and then held for 9 min the second column was ramped at IS C above the first column. Modulation time was 4 s. Mass spectra were acquired in electron ionization mode from 40 to 500 amu with an acquisition rate of 100 Hz. [Pg.410]

The R-EP was the only adhesive that seemed to be negatively affected by the interference. This result was surely affected by the high data dispersion obtained with the samples bonded with this adhesive. This recorded dispersion was probably due to the quantity of this adhesive able to remain inside the joint during the press-fit coupling. This hypothesis was confirmed by the analysis of the fi acture surfaces of every hub and shafi after the decoupling. In the majority of cases, the shafts and the hubs presented some cured adhesive residues on the mating surfaces. In the case oiFT-EP, AC and PU samples, the cured residues were present in a similar morphology on both the hubs and the... [Pg.35]
