File enrichment

Selection of the reagents was based on the Pfizer internal compound collection which allowed speedy acquisition of any selected compound. A set of primary amines, secondary amines, and carboxylic acids which were not commercially available were chosen for consideration. These acids and amines were designed by medicinal chemists via a Pfizer internal screening file enrichment effort to be novel and diverse, and more importantly, were not part of any existing Pfizer fragment collection. The MW... [Pg.224]

Fig. 26. The production of heavy water is based upon the behavior of deuterium in a mixture of water and hydrogen sulfide. When liquid H2O and gaseous H2S are thoroughly mixed, the deuterium atoms exchange freely between die gas and file liquid. At high temperatures, file deuterium atoms tend to migrate toward file gas, while they concentrate in file liquid at lower temperatures. In the first and second stages of production, file towers of a heavy water plant are operated with the top section cold and file lower section hot. Hydrogen sulfide gas is circulated from bottom to top and water is circulated from top to bottom through the tower. In the cold section, the deuterium atoms move toward file water and are carried downward, while in file hot section, they move toward the gas and are carried upward. The result is that, both gas and liquid are enriched in deuterium at the middle of the tower. A series of perforated trays are used to promote mixing between the gas and water in the towers. A portion of the HjS gas, enriched in deuterium, is removed from file tower at the juncture of file hot and cold sections and is fed to a similar tower for the second stage of enrichment... Fig. 26. In their original publication about SELEX, Tuerk and Gold (1990) already speculated that a similar approach could be adapted to protein selection. They referred to experiments describing the isolation of particular mRNAs from a pool of variants by immunoprecipitation of the nascent polypeptides present in the mRNA-ribosome-polypeptide complexes (Korman et al., 1982 Kraus and Rosenberg, 1982). In fact, soon after the publication of SELEX (Tuerk and Gold, 1990) a patent application was filed (Kawasaki, 1991), proposing a similar approach to enrich peptides from libraries. [Pg.376]

From the transcriptomic data side, more arrays will be added for increased usability (e.g., support for Agilent microarrays). Additional support for more than one file for reference and sample state will be included for improved statistics. Lastly, combined interpretation of metabolites and transcripts using enrichment and overrepresentation methods will be implemented. [Pg.440]

After these activities, the project file is stored in the DMS, while its structural content (the realization of the extruder) is stored inside the PDW repository, together with additional information like domain model annotations and enrichments. Importing of information into the PDW is done via an XML format that is directly based on, and thus convertible into, the core ontology concepts. External resources need to be transformed into this format, based on the rules defined by derivations of the Core Ontology s Transformation concept, and implemented e.g. by XML stylesheet transformations (see Subsect. 4.1.5). [Pg.392]

Nutrient Media To ensure the presence of the necessary macronutrients and micronutrients to select for a community capable of consuming methanol as the main carbon source, Methanol-Utilizing Bacteria Medium B [15] was utilized as a nutrient addition. The nutrient media was supplied to all eiuichment reactors to ensure balanced growth conditions. The nutrient medium was used witiiout medianol addition for the FC 3200, FC BHAO, and FC EVAP enrichments, as the foul condensates contained sufficient concentrations of methanol. Medianol (99.9% Fisher Scientific, Fair Lawn, NJ) was added to file nutrient media supplied to the l°OUT and WAS-only enrichment reactors. [Pg.715]

The system considered is composed of two 5-gal cans containing UO2 of various densities, 5 wt% enriched in the U Isotope, and with a hydrogen-to-uranium ratio of 0 45. The cans are contain In a 16-gal drum which is in turn centered and supported within a 55-gal drUpi Iv insulating material in which the hydrogien content was allowed to vary for. calculatlonal inirposes. The zero-current boundary conditions are implied at file surface of the outer drum that is, assuitaing an infinite array of such containers. [Pg.361]

DSM also have been interested in this type of transformation and, in 2005, filed a patent on the application of this copper-catalyzed process in the synthesis of enantiomerically enriched indoline-2-carboxylic acids [76]. In this protocol, (5)-2-bromophenylalanine was cydizedto the corresponding indoline-2-carboxylic acid using 0.01 - 2 mol% CuCl. [Pg.120]

The map of risk of lack of water supply can be created for all types of water pipes on the basis of available data. Generated maps can be enriched by reports and charts that will clearly show the results to the water consumer. The maps in the application can be browse, edit and it is possible to analyse all kinds of data. There is also the ability to integrate data from different sources such as shape files (.shp), information layers, tables, CAD files, raster images and numerical terrain models. It is possible to browse and search interesting data and identify relationships between localized objects. [Pg.503]
